Mi historia

I was five years old when my family and I left Cuba for the United States. Our family's immigrant experience is largely responsible for shaping many of my views. Although the journey wasn't always easy, I am extremely thankful for having experienced it. In the long run it has made me a far stronger, more determined individual and it has inculcated a strong sense of family value, compassion and sense of fairness. I will write about my personal experience in depth from time to time and I hope to learn more about the experience of others through the Immigrant Archive Project's interactive platform.
